Students’ selection
Students (Greek, French, European or third country nationals) can apply for this programme under the condition that they have already obtained a Law Degree (cycle of 4-year studies in Law). The final selection of eligible candidates takes place after the examination of the submitted applications by the competent committee. The members of the committee are the coordinators of the Master Programme and one professor from each University. The candidates must prove that they have acquired the required legal education (Law Degree level), as well as a sufficient knowledge in the field of social law (labour law and social security), social protection and international and European Social Law. The applications may be submitted either to the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki or the University of Toulouse 1 – Capitole. The students who will be admitted in the Master Programme will acquire student status in both Universities. Each university may select up to seven (7) students or legal professionals.
Duration – Schedule of the Programme
The duration for the award of the Master’s degree is set to three (3) semesters/cognitive sections. The Master degree programme is carried out as follows:
- The first cognitive section of the programme (Fall semester) will be held at the School of Law of the University of Toulouse 1 – Capitole. The courses will be taught jointly with the courses of the post-graduate degree programme on labour and employment law of the University.
- The second cognitive section of the programme (Spring semester) will be held at the School of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
- In the third cognitive section of the programme, students will have the opportunity to choose between a research dissertation or an internship in a company or institution for which they would need to submit an internship report.
Language of instruction
The courses will be taught in French in both Universities. Therefore, students should be proficient in this language. However, the good knowledge of English is, also, required, since some of the courses or seminars may be held in English. The research dissertation or internship report must be written in French. The language for the internship in a company or institution may be English.
